The Tao of Bat
I am upside down in my own darkness, wrapping protective leather around myself, clinging to the slight hold I have, nails digging in and sharp with pain.
I had not meant to enter this black place; other caves beckoned, deep but familiar and explored. Flying into this passage blind and determined, I have made my nest.
Outside I hear the drums and chants of others who have buried themselves alive too. Wake up they say, time to fly. Let go, spread your wings and burst
reborn
into
light.
